చాలా కాలం క్రితం... ఒక పల్లెలో రాముడు అనే రైతు ఉండేవాడు. అతనికి పెద్ద ఆస్తులు లేవు. కానీ కష్టపడే మనసు ఉంది.

Long ago... in a small village, there lived a farmer named Ramudu. He had no great wealth. But he had the heart to work hard.

ప్రతి తెల్లవారు లేచి... చాలా దూరంలో ఉన్న బావి దగ్గరకు నడిచి వెళ్ళేవాడు. భుజాలపై ఒక కర్రను వేసుకుని... రెండు వైపులా రెండు మట్టి కుండలను వేలాడదీసుకుని వెళ్ళేవాడు.

Every morning he would wake up... and walk a long distance to reach the well. He would place a pole across his shoulders... and hang two clay pots on either side.

అయ్యా... మీరు ప్రతి రోజూ ఇంత కష్టపడతారు. కానీ నేను మీకు సహాయం చేయలేకపోతున్నాను. నా వల్ల సగం నీళ్ళు వృథా అవుతున్నాయి. నన్ను పారేసి కొత్త కుండ తీసుకోండి. నేను పనికిరాను.

Sir... you work so hard every day. But I am unable to help you. Half the water is wasted because of me. Please throw me away and get a new pot. I am of no use.

రైతు ఆగాడు. చాలా సేపు ఆ కుండ వైపు చూశాడు. తర్వాత నెమ్మదిగా నవ్వాడు.

The farmer stopped. He looked at the pot for a long time. Then he smiled slowly.
