విజయనగర రాజసభలోకి ఒకరోజు ఒక జ్యోతిష్యుడు వచ్చాడు. రాజును చూసి అతను గంభీరంగా అన్నాడు.
One day an astrologer came into the royal court of Vijayanagara. Looking at the King, he spoke gravely.
కృష్ణదేవరాయలు ఆసక్తిగా చూశారు.
Krishnadevaraya looked at him with interest.

Alarm in the Court — The Minister's Fear
అంతే. రాజసభలో కలకలం మొదలైంది.
That was all it took. The court was thrown into an uproar.
అప్పటికే రాజు రహస్యంగా తుంగభద్ర దాటి బీజాపూర్ వైపు సైన్యంతో వెళ్లాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్నారు.
The King had already secretly decided to cross the Tungabhadra with his army and march toward Bijapur.
రాజు మాత్రం ఆలోచనలో పడ్డారు. అప్పుడు ఆయన రామకృష్ణను పిలిపించారు.
The King fell into thought. Then he sent for Ramakrishna.

Ramakrishna's Suspicion — Not an Astrologer, but a Spy!
రామకృష్ణ జ్యోతిష్యుడిని ఒక్కసారి గమనించాడు. తర్వాత చిరునవ్వు నవ్వాడు.
Ramakrishna took one look at the astrologer — and smiled.
సభలో ఒక్కసారిగా నిశ్శబ్దం.
A sudden silence fell over the court.

Ramakrishna turned toward the astrologer.

The astrologer faltered for a moment, then answered quickly.

Some in the court laughed. The astrologer glared angrily.

The astrologer's face turned pale.
బీజాపూర్ ముద్ర ఉన్న రహస్య లేఖ బయటపడింది
A Secret Letter with the Bijapur Seal
రామకృష్ణ వెంటనే సైనికులను పిలిపించాడు.
Ramakrishna at once called for the guards.
తనిఖీలో… అతని వస్త్రపు ముడిలో కుట్టి దాచిన, బీజాపూర్ ముద్ర ఉన్న ఒక రహస్య లేఖ బయటపడింది.
In the search… a secret letter bearing the Bijapur seal was found, sewn and hidden in a knot of his garment.
రామకృష్ణ ఆ లేఖను గట్టిగా చదివాడు — “రాజును తుంగభద్ర దాటకుండా ఆపాలి.”
Ramakrishna read the letter aloud: "The King must be stopped from crossing the Tungabhadra."

The Truth Comes Out — The King's Judgement
రాజు ముఖం మారిపోయింది. ఇప్పుడు రామకృష్ణ చెప్పింది నిజమని అందరికీ అర్థమైంది.
The King's expression changed. Now everyone understood that Ramakrishna had spoken the truth.
సైనికులు జ్యోతిష్యుడిని బందీగా తీసుకెళ్లారు. రామకృష్ణ నమస్కరించాడు.
The guards led the astrologer away as a prisoner. Ramakrishna bowed.
రాజు రామకృష్ణ వైపు మెచ్చుకోలుగా చూశారు.
The King looked at Ramakrishna with admiration.
భయపెట్టే మాటలను గుడ్డిగా నమ్మకూడదు — నిజాన్ని తెలుసుకున్నప్పుడే అసలు విషయం అర్థమవుతుంది.
Never blindly believe words meant to frighten you — only when you seek out the truth do you understand what is really going on.
ఎవరైనా మనల్ని భయపెట్టి ఒక నిర్ణయం నుంచి వెనక్కి లాగాలని చూస్తే, 'దీని వల్ల ఎవరికి లాభం?' అని ఒక్కసారి ఆలోచించాలి. ప్రశాంతంగా అడిగే ఒక్క ప్రశ్న ఎంత పెద్ద మోసాన్నైనా బయటపెడుతుంది.
When someone tries to scare us away from a decision, ask once: 'Who gains from this?' A single calm question can expose even the biggest deception.
భయపెట్టే మాటలను గుడ్డిగా నమ్మకుండా, నిజాన్ని తెలుసుకోవాలి. జ్యోతిష్యుడు చెప్పాడని ప్రతి మాటనూ నమ్మకూడదు.
Don't blindly believe frightening words — seek the truth. Not every word is true just because an astrologer says it.
సైన్యం బయలుదేరే సమయానికే వచ్చి, రహస్య యుద్ధ ప్రణాళికలో ఉన్న తుంగభద్ర నది గురించే మాట్లాడటం యాదృచ్ఛికం కాదని గ్రహించాడు. తనిఖీలో బీజాపూర్ ముద్ర ఉన్న రహస్య లేఖ దొరికి అది నిజమైంది.
He arrived just as the army was leaving and spoke only of the Tungabhadra — part of a secret war plan. That was no coincidence, and the Bijapur-sealed letter found on him proved it.
'నీ మరణం ఎప్పుడో చెప్పగలవా?' అని అడిగాడు. 34 ఏళ్లు ఉందని చెప్పిన జ్యోతిష్యుడికి, రాజు క్షేమంగా తిరిగొస్తే శిక్ష తప్పదని చెప్పి అతని మాటల్లోనే ఇరికించాడు.
He asked, 'Can you tell when you will die?' When the astrologer said 34 more years, Ramakrishna warned that he would be punished if the King returned safely — trapping him in his own words.
