At the far end of the court sat a man calmly eating a banana, with another already set aside — Tenali Ramakrishna.

"Scholar — how did you travel here from Kashi? On a horse? Did the horse know the way? No — you had to show it the way. That is the answer. Without knowledge, a horse means nothing — the path stays unknown. Without wealth, knowing the path means nothing — there's no horse to ride. Knowledge shows the way; wealth walks that path. Only in good hands do both truly serve the kingdom, and life."
